Question of the Week

Question of the Week"What is ERFA and How is it Connected to SSU?"

ERFA stands for Emeritus and Retired Faculty Association and is a statewide, not-for-profit group devoted to addressing concerns and protecting rights of retired CSU faculty and staff. The SSU Chapter of ERFA meets regularly for luncheons and speakers. The Historical Committee of the SSU chapter of ERFA is busy working on creating a look at SSU's past. Included in the published book will be memories from faculty, staff, students and community members from the early days of the University (SSU was called "Sonoma State College" in those days). Committee members are Barbara Biebush (Head Reference Librarian, retired), Jan Hitchcock (Nursing Department faculty, retired), Lucy Kortum (Nursing Department staff, retired), John Palmer (Professor and Dean of Students, retired), and Sue Thomas (Nursing Department faculty, retired). The Historical Committee hopes to have their book published in early 2010. Questions about the SSU Chapter of ERFA may be directed to Janet Hankes, x4-3343.
