Bramblin' Rose Productions proudly presents the psychedelic folk of Sunshower, with special guests Eclipse, at Subud Hall in a musical event to benefit the disaster relief efforts in Honduras and Nicaragua. Sunshower brings its eclectic mix of musical adventures to this unique venue for an evening of spirited fun and dancing on Saturday April 24th. Acoustic-electric folkies Eclipse opens the musical festivities at 8 p.m.
All profits will benefit the relief efforts in Nicaragua & Honduras through the Intercultural Center at Sonoma State University. The money raised at this event will be tripled through matching funds generously provided by Clos du Bois Wines in Geyserville and Allied Domecq Wines in Healdsburg.
Both bands play primarily original music relying on American folk blended with the drive of rock, with generous helpings of psychedelic improvisation spiced with musical influences of the Gypsies, Celts, and the Middle East. The evening's music promises to stretch the imagination and the spirit of those in attendance. Instrumentation includes acoustic and electric stringed instruments, percussion, and the human voice.
A $7 donation is requested, all ages are welcome. Subud Hall is located at 234 Hutchins Ave. in Sebastopol. Please carpool if possible, as parking is limited. For more information call Chris Bramble at 431-7660.
