ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Standby registration is available for both tests.
- Focus on Math(pdf), gives a good description of the ELM, including sample problems. To register for a test date at SSU, click here.
- Another good site to help you satisfy your CSU ELM (math) requirement is: www.csumathsuccess.org
- Focus on English(pdf) gives a good description of the EPT, including sample problems. To register for a test date at SSU, click here.
- Calculators are not allowed for the ELM.
- The EPT can only be taken once. However, the ELM may be repeated.
- A confirmation letter with room location and reporting times will be sent to registrants within 1 week of the test date.

GRESubject Tests
Some graduate programs require both the General Test and a Subject Test. It is the student's responsibility to check with the graduate program they are interested in to determine if they need both tests.

WEPT
Written English Proficiency Test
REGISTRATION PROCEDURES:
Pick up test registration form at the Writing Center on the first floor of the Schulz Information Center. Fill it out completely. Take it to Customer Service office and pay a fee of $30. Return the registration form and your receipt to the Writing Center.
ADDITIONAL WEPT INFORMATION:
- The WEPT is administered through the Writing Center, which also offers workshops and tutorial sessions to help students prepare for the test.
- A computer version of the WEPT is also available through the Writing Center.
- The WEPT study booklet is available online at: http://www.sonoma.edu/programs/writingcenter/weptbook.htm.
- If you have passed English 375 with a grade of C or better, or have completed an UPPER DIVISION English proficiency writing course or exam at another institution, the WEPT MAY BE waived. Contact the WEPT Office (664-2058) for more information on applying for a waiver.
- The WEPT must be taken before 90 units are completed or you will not be allowed to register for classes.
