Dear Campus Community,
In response to the further delays in the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) processing announced by the U.S. Department of Education, the CSU and UC jointly decided to extend the Fall 2024 admission acceptance (intent to register) deadline until May 15. Each university was given the option of extending the deadline for their campus beyond the 15th. At Sonoma State, we have extended our deadline to June 1, 2024.
Given the acceptance deadline was extended, we also made the decision to keep Fall 2024 undergraduate applications open (except Nursing) through March 1, 2024. This information has been updated on CalStateApply and on our Admissions Website.
Our Fall 2024 undergraduate applications currently are 5.8% ahead of last year (and ahead of the past three years). Our admit numbers are also up for first-time first-year and transfer students.
We will be traveling throughout California holding Admitted Student Receptions March 17-24, and our Decision Day event will be on April 20, 2024.
