Missy Brunetta, Director for Emergency Services and Associate Risk Manager, alerts the campus community that Sonoma State is not under threat from any regional wildfires. However, air quality in the area is poor due to the smoke conditions from the fires in Northern California. We are monitoring air quality conditions, which are deteriorating around campus.

Sonoma State University's Facilities Management department informs the campus community about planned eucalyptus tree removal taking place between August 10 - 24, with the hours of work being Monday - Saturday from 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Karen Moranski (Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs), Stan Nosek (Interim Chief Financial Officer and Vice President for Administration and Finance), and Wm. Gregory Sawyer (Vice President for Student Affairs), inform the campus community of the California State University's announcement that students, faculty, and staff accessing Cal State facilities at any university location will be required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 for the fall term.
