Next Wednesday (5/11), I plan to continue the class data analysis. Most likely, we will use this class to produce the poster presentation. I am considering using the following class (5/18) as an opportunity for individual consultation about final papers (giving you all time to work independently). Please plan accordingly.

Class will meet Wednesdays, 8:00 to 11:40 am in Stevenson 3077.

Course Goal:

Upon completing this course, students should be able to use and evaluate qualitative research methods.

Course Objectives:

  • Understand theories and concepts of qualitative research
  • Conduct research informed by qualitative research concepts
  • Work collaboratively with others in conducting research

Padgett, D.K. (2004). The Qualitative Research Experience. Belmont, CA: Wadsworth/Thomson Learning.

There is also a set of readings (listed in the course schedule) that will be available on reserve in the library.
