LOOKING FOR A FRENCH SPEAKING AFTERNOON SITTER. We are looking for a French speaking babysitter for our 6 year old son who attends a French immersion school. We are a non French speaking family and feel that one way to support our son is to surround him with French both at school and at home. We will need you regularly in the fall, once school starts. We would need you 4 to 5 days a week, typically from 3pm to 6pm. Duties include picking him up from school, driving him to soccer/baseball practice, feeding him a snack, helping with his homework (10 minutes) and of course, speaking to him in French! We have an extra car for you to use if you do not have one. We would like to hire you occasionally during the summer as well. We want to make sure he does not forget his French, but the schedule is flexible. Pay range is $15-$20/hour depending on your experience. We have a spare bedroom and bathroom so we could consider a live in arrangement. Since we will only need help from 3pm to 6pm, this could work for a student or if you would like to work more hours with another family in the mornings. We are looking for someone who is honest, trustworthy, responsible, mature, and fun-loving. We want you to engage our son and play with him, get him up and running, and excitedly speaking in French. Posted January 2013. SEEKING NATIVE FRENCH SPEAKER TO HELP RUN A HOUSEHOLD with two girls, ages 5 & 10, both of whom went to French for Fun in Lafayette, CA. Must have valid California driver's license and also be willing to do light housekeeping. Duties include: Vacuum daily, trash daily, trash bins out on Thursday night and in on Friday, laundry, load and unload dishes, mop kitchen floor 3x week, make beds, fold girls’ clothes in closets, 5 yr old needs help with playing/ reading/ homework, make 2 lunches and 2 snacks. The ideal person should be fond of kids and immaculate. Hours flexible, but roughly 11-3 on Mondays and Fridays, and 11-6 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Contact: carladodd@aol.com
Posted November 2012. FRENCH ACTORS (NATIVE SPEAKERS) NEEDED. Are you a native speaker of Mexican Spanish, Castilian Spanish, Standard French, Standard German, or Standard Italian? Do you have experience as an actor or singer? We are looking for 4-5 actors per language (at least 2 men and 2 women) to star in our foreign-language educational video. Your job is to pronounce words, phrases, and sentences on camera for an online vocabulary program. You must currently be located in the San Francisco Bay Area, as production studio is in the north bay. Filming will take place over the next several months. We estimate that the job will involve approximately 8--12 hours on camera for each actor, spread over 2-3 days of shooting. They are looking for artists, illustrators, graphic designers, photographers... Think about a real miscellaneous fact that has interested you. Split it up, grind it, sublimate it, knead it, shift it, transform it, interrogate it, versify it, criticize it the way you want.
