Welcome to the SSU Veterans Affairs Office!

The Sonoma State University Veterans Affairs office serves veterans, reservists, and dependents of veterans. Our main function is to verify student enrollment for those receiving United State Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) educations benefits. We also process CalVet tuition fee waivers.

Important Notice for Recipients of CalVet and VA Benefits

Beginning this coming semester, a new fee has been instituted at all of the CSU campuses: the Student Involvement & Representation Fee—SIRF. It is $2.00/semester. The fee is NOT covered under either the CalVet program (tuition fee waiver) or any of the VA programs (Chapter 31, 33, 35, 1606). The SIRF is a voluntary fee. Students may opt out of paying the fee. For information, visit: http://www.sonoma.edu/seawolfservices/sirf.html

The Veterans Affairs office is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We are located on the 3rd floor of the Student Center, in the Entrepreneurial Administrative offices.

Drop-in office hours are held on Thursdays from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. during the academic year.
