The Sonoma State University Symphonic Wind Ensemble will bring to life, with music by composer Michael Shapiro, James Whale’s classic thriller Frankenstein! Starring Colin Clive and Boris Karloff in his debuting role as the Monster, the 1931 classic film did not contain any incidental music.

Thanks to composer Michael Shapiro, that has changed! The SWE will perform his haunting 2002 score to accompany the screening of the film! Bring the popcorn and don your favorite costume, because this event is going to be a scream!

“The premiere here at the Film Center…was a great success…particularly because of the relatively simple set-up required for a most impressive outcome.”
~Steve Apkon, Executive Director, Jacob Burns Film Center

*All in-person performances are subject to change if necessary. Notice will be given if a change occurs.
