Wednesday, February 17, 2021, 4:00pm

TO: Campus Community
FR: Nader Oweis, Chief of Police

The Sonoma State Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance with information that can help identify the person(s) responsible for a series of vandalisms in Beaujolais Village.

Since January 1, 2021, fourteen (14) green electric exit signs have been damaged. Eight (8) were discovered damaged this past Monday.

These illuminated exit signs allow for prompt escape from buildings, hallways, stairwells, and other areas if there are fires and smoke-filled spaces. Work is now being done to repair the damaged signs.

In addition, on February 15, a fountain at Beaujolais Village was filled with soap and had to be drained and turned off.  The fountain will remain off until further notice.
Anyone who has seen suspicious activity or has information regarding these incidents is encouraged to call the Sonoma State University Police Dispatch Center at (707) 664-4444 to speak with an officer.

*This information has been provided to inform the campus community of these crimes and is not being distributed pursuant to the Clery Act.
