FY 2022/2023 General Salary Increase and Salary Program Update

We are happy to share information regarding the 2022/2023 General Salary Increases for CFA, CSUEU, Teamsters, SUPA, APC and the MPP/C99 salary program.  

CFA General Salary Increase

  • General Salary Increase (GSI) of 3% effective July 1, 2022
    • Eligibility - All CFA employees on active pay or leave status as of the effective date
    • GSI will be reflected on the October 1, 2022 pay warrant
    • Retroactivity to process in late September 2022
  • Post-Promotion Increase (PPI) for eligible employees of 2.65%
    • Eligibility - Senior faculty members who are Full Professors, Lecturer D faculty, or equivalent librarian, counselor, and coaching faculty at senior ranks prior to the beginning of the 2022-2023 academic year, and who have exhausted their SSI eligibility in their current rank. 
    • FERP participants and rehired annuitants are not eligible

CSUEU General Salary Increase

  • General Salary Increase (GSI) of 7% effective July 1, 2022
    • Eligibility - All CSUEU employees on active pay or leave status as of the effective date
    • GSI will be reflected on the October 1, 2022 pay warrant
    • Retroactivity to process in late September 2022
  • Recognition Bonus:  $3,500 prorated by timebase
    • Eligibility - CSUEU employees in active pay or leave status as of July 29, 2022
    • Payment for eligible employees will begin issuing at the end of August 2022

Teamsters General Salary Increase

  • General Salary Increase (GSI) of 4% effective June 30, 2022 at 11:59 pm
  • General Salary Increase (GSI) of 3% effective July 1, 2022
    • The two GSI’s will be compounded into a single GSI rate of 7.12% to account for rounding
    • Eligibility - All Teamster employees in active pay or leave status as of the effective date
    • GSI will be reflected on the October 1, 2022 pay warrant
    • Retroactivity to process in late September 2022
  • One-Time Payment (in Lieu of Pay from July 1, 2021-June 30, 2022):  $2,907 prorated by timebase, hours and/or months worked during the in lieu of period
    • Eligibility - Teamster employees in active pay or leave status as of June 30, 2022 
    • Payment for eligible employees will be issued at the end of August 2022
  • Recognition Bonus:  $2,500 prorated by timebase
    • Eligibility - All Teamster employees in active pay or leave status as of July 29, 2022
    • Payment for eligible employees will be issued at the end of August 2022

SUPA General Salary Increase

  • General Salary Increase (GSI) of 7% effective July 1, 2022
    • Eligibility - All SUPA employees on active pay or leave status as of the effective date
    • GSI will be reflected on the October 1, 2022 pay warrant
    • Retroactivity to process in late September 2022
  • Salary steps will be increased by 7%
  • One-Time Payment: $3,500 prorated by timebase
    • Eligibility - All SUPA employees in active pay or leave status as of July 12, 2022 
    • Payment for eligible employees will be issued at the end of August 2022

APC General Salary Increase

  • General Salary Increase (GSI) of 4% effective October 1, 2021
    • Eligibility - All APC employees on active pay or leave status as of the effective date
    • GSI will be reflected on the November 1, 2022 pay warrant
    • Retroactivity to process in late October 2022
  • General Salary Increase (GSI) of 3% effective July 1, 2022 
    • Eligibility - All APC employees on active pay or leave status as of the effective date
    • GSI will be reflected on the December 1, 2022 pay warrant
    • Retroactivity to process in late November 2022
  • Recognition Bonus:  $2,500 prorated by timebase
    • Eligibility - All APC employees in active pay or leave status as of July 12, 2022 
    • Payment for eligible employees will be issued at the end of August 2022

MPP/Confidential Salary Program

  • Merit compensation increase of 7% effective July 1, 2022
    • Eligibility - MPP or C99 appointed with an effective date of April 1, 2022 or earlier and an FY 21/22 performance evaluation on file with a performance rating at or above “meets expectations” (equivalent to a score of 16) 
    • Merit increases will be processed (retroactively applied to July 2022) as eligible performance evaluations are received
  • One-Time Payment:  $3,500 prorated by timebase
    • Eligibility - All MPP or C99 employees appointed with an effective date of April 1, 2022 or earlier and on active pay or leave status as of July 1, 2022 
    • Payment for eligible employees will be issued by October 2022

Please note,  this is a summary of the payments reflected in the agreements between the CSU and the respective unions.  If the information differs, the contract supersedes.  Rehired annuitants are not eligible for One-Time or Recognition Bonus Payments.
