Reorganization of the Information Technology Department

Sonoma State University’s Information Technology department has been reorganized to better serve our community. We’d like to take this opportunity to introduce you to our team of IT managers so you can get to know their roles within this new organizational structure. 

Amanda McGowan, Associate Chief Information Officer, Digital Transformation. In this newly created role, Amanda will partner with campus community members to advance our digital capabilities in service of the SSU Strategic Plan. As the Senior IT Leader working with the Chief Information Officer and the Chancellor’s Office, she will continue to oversee the Project Management Office. 

Evan Ferguson, Chief Technology Officer. Evan will lead teams responsible for supporting Enterprise Infrastructure Services, Identity Management and Security, and Networking. He will continue to advance our adoption of secure Cloud services as we work towards more sustainable and carbon-neutral data center operations.

Jaime Russell, Senior Director of Enterprise Applications. Jaime will oversee the overall application strategy, user experience, and integrated workflow of Sonoma State’s core platforms including the Web, Mobile, PeopleSoft, AdobeSign, Boomi, and OnBase.

Jestina Casas, IT Services Manager. In this newly created position, Jestina will oversee all customer-facing IT Support Services teams and the IT student internship program as we move toward more automated and self-service experiences with enhanced hours.
