As you know, Academic Affairs is undergoing a structural reorganization of its academic departments and schools. On December 7, I released the Academic Reorganization Omnibus Proposal to Academic Affairs, Associated Students, Staff Council, and Faculty Governance. At the request of the Academic Senate membership, we are sharing the Omnibus Proposal with all employees. You will find the Omnibus Proposal on the Academic Affairs Reorganization Website, and a link directly to the proposal can be found here.
This document shares a regrouping of our academic departments into Schools and Colleges. This proposal contains the goals of academic reorganization, related background information, the new structural model, and the rationale behind it. General information on related budget savings and next steps in the implementation process are also included.
The proposal is being reviewed by the Academic Planning, Assessment, and Resources Committee of the Academic Senate, and they will be communicating with the campus community about their process.
