TO: Sonoma State Employees
FR: Chandra Holte, Interim Senior Director for Human Resources

Undocumented students (also known as Dreamers) are a fast growing population on campus. These students face unique challenges that impact their enrollment, retention, and academic success. The Dream Center is offering an Undocu-Ally Training this Friday, March 3, 2023, facilitated via Zoom. The Undocu-Ally Training aims to inform faculty, staff, and administrators on how to create a welcoming, supportive and inclusive campus environment for undocumented students. The training consists of a brief review of immigration history, discussions about the policies and laws that are currently affecting students, a student panel, and an activity on how we can best serve undocumented and mixed-status students on campus.
