COVID Outbreak Notice: Suite 2078, Salazar Hall

Campus colleagues,

As part of our ongoing commitment to the health and wellbeing of our campus community, I write to you today to provide notification of a campus COVID outbreak. The outbreak is occurring in Suite 2078 of Salazar Hall, where Human Resources, Faculty Affairs & Success, and University Budget & Resource Planning reside. Due to the number of connected cases, this location meets the guidelines for outbreak as defined by Cal-OSHA and this notice is provided pursuant to California Code of Regulations §3205.1. 

Any persons who were present in Salazar 2078 between July 11 - 19, 2024 may have been exposed and should monitor themselves for COVID-like symptoms. Masking is strongly encouraged for individuals with prolonged presence in the space. As a reminder, all cases of COVID-19 are required to be reported to COVID Monitoring Team.

Beginning today, any person who enters Suite 2078 is required to wear a face covering until August 5, 2024. This includes all occupants and guests within the suite. Face coverings are required for 14 days following this notice.  

Employees who may have been exposed due to physical presence in the suite during this time are entitled to free testing on work time. If time away from work is needed for testing, please work with your appropriate administrator. Please contact your health care provider to obtain testing.  If your healthcare provider does not provide testing, please contact Environmental Health and Safety at (707) 664-2100 or safety@sonoma.edu

Employees assigned to work in this location are subject to additional requirements and will receive additional notice regarding such requirements.
