Dear Campus Community,
We are pleased to share continued progress on our Cozen Implementation Plan and in our efforts to enhance campus services. The Office for the Prevention of Harassment and Discrimination is proud to announce the launch of the new Center for Restorative Practices.
The Center is available to all members of the Sonoma State community as a resource for navigating difficult interpersonal situations. It provides coaching, education, training, and facilitated conversations to support collaboration, communication, and community well-being.
Please join us in welcoming Dr. Marcus Adéshima Penn as the inaugural Manager of the Center for Restorative Practices. Dr. Penn brings more than 25 years of interdisciplinary experience in medicine, education, wellness, and equity-centered leadership. His work has pioneered programs that integrate cultural healing, interpersonal communication, and accountability across higher education, public health, nonprofit, community, and international settings. He has consistently advanced practices that transform conflict into opportunities for growth, foster belonging, and promote psychological safety.
The Center is in International Hall 200C. To learn more, request a workshop, or schedule an appointment, please contact the staff at (707) 664-2485 or by email.
