FR: Nader Oweis, Chief of Police

Today at approximately 10:55 a.m., the Sonoma State University Police Department received numerous calls about two individuals riding electronic scooters and wearing masks in and around Salazar Hall, Stevenson Hall, and the Student Center. They reportedly were riding the scooters inside the buildings, disrupting classes, and refusing to cooperate with staff and/or faculty.

Officers immediately responded and detained two male teens. It was quickly determined that no threat to cause violence existed. Both teens were cited for violation of California Vehicle Code § 21235(d) and were released to a Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety School Resource Officer.
