On Thursday, October 16, Rohnert Park Public Works will begin work at Laurel Drive and Petaluma Hill Road to prepare for the installation of a traffic signal at the eastern entrance to Sonoma State. This work will include the creation of a pedestrian crosswalk and is part of the larger Crane Creek Park Trail project that will ultimately connect the campus to Crane Creek Regional Park.
During this phase of construction, Laurel Drive will experience intermittent closures from October 16 through November 7 as the city completes underground electrical work and sidewalk installation. Campus users are encouraged to use Rohnert Park Expressway and East Cotati Avenue campus entrances throughout the construction period.
-
October 16-24: Laurel Drive closed to entering/exiting traffic
-
October 24-November 7: Laurel Drive open for entry only
Please note, construction activities are subject to change depending on weather and site conditions.
