The Advising and Registration portion of Orientation is now complete. The final portion of the NOMA Nation Orientation program, the Week Of Welcome (WOW), is coming soon. Here’s an update:
Residential Campus Move In - Thursday, August 14, 2025
For residential students, the Move-In Experience will commence at 8 a.m. Thursday, August 14, 2025 at the Green Music Center (GMC). All residential students and families should be directed to the GMC until 1 p.m. After 1 p.m., they should head straight to the REACH office on the third floor of the Student Center.
Ask Me Anything Information Tents
We will have Ask Me Anything Info tents at the GMC Entrance as well as in the Seawolf Plaza on Thursday, August 14 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Students and family members with inquiries can stop by the tents for information about Move In, Orientation, and general campus information.
Week of Welcome (WOW) – Thursday, August 14 - Monday, August 18, 2025
WO helps set students up for success through their first semester, setting the tone for a great year and great start to their college experience! Students will gain broad knowledge through WOW events, which include introductions to campus, support services, student leaders, clubs, evening events, and programming.
The two (required) days of our Orientation content will be Friday, August 15 and Monday, August 18 in the Student Center Ballrooms. During these days we will cover topics including:
- Basic Needs and Care Programs
- What it means to be part of the Seawolf Noma Nation Community and the Seawolf Commitment
- Sexual Assault/Consent/Bystander Intervention awareness and resources
- Alcohol and Other Drug Awareness and resources, as well as Narcan training, including Narcan distribution to students
- Hazing Awareness
- Self Care and our associated student support resources and programs
- Campus Resource Fair, academic success, and support program highlights
- Seawolf campus scavenger hunt
- Academic open house

The Week of Welcome Events website provides information about all the required and optional sessions, shared experiences, and engagement opportunities for our students!
