This Timely Warning is being issued in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Act and the purpose is to provide preventative information to the campus community to aid members from becoming the victim of a similar crime.
REPORTED CRIME: The Sonoma State Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at a Green Music Center south side equipment storage room, today, Sunday, May 11, 2025, at approximately 12:50 p.m.
The suspect, who was interrupted by a staff member, was described as a white male, in his late 20’s or early 30’s, about 5’9” tall, with dark colored hair and a dark colored goatee. He was wearing a grey colored short bill “driver’s hat” and a grey or blue backpack. He walked away from the storage room in an unknown direction.
A search of the area was conducted with the assistance of the Cotati Police Department and the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Department helicopter (Henry 1) with negative results.
Additionally, it was reported that a window to the culinary food trailer located on the Green Music Center access road was pried between May 10, 2025, at 11:50 a.m. and May 11, 2025, at 12:50 p.m. The rear and side doors to the food trailer were also damaged.

- Be alert to your surroundings. Your actions as an active bystander can help prevent crimes from occurring within our campus community.
